Kathy Francis, Founder, Vice President and
Chief Clinical Officer
Kathy Francis, a registered nurse, is co-founder of InformMed. As the chief
patient safety visionary, she is responsible for all clinical activities
including the clinical solution roadmap for the pac2 System.
With 15 years of
hands on experience as a nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU),
Interventional Radiology and Post-Anesthesia Care units at Evanston Northwestern
Hospital, Francis experienced the need for a solution that reduced the risk of
medication errors at the bedside. With this insight, she conceived and patented
the pac2 solution. Prior to forming InformMed, she worked as a management
consultant to the healthcare industry in organizational design and new program
development. She is an expert in the medical error marketplace and has written
and published journal articles related to healthcare issues.
